ABINGDON, Va.
Sheila (La) Rene Tiller, born April 23, 1961 in Richlands, Va., passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 after a lengthy illness.
Sheila was of the Baptist faith and a member of Barns Chapel in Abingdon, Va. She truly was a servant of the Lord, whose kind heart and bright smile will be missed by all who loved her, especially her fur babies, Cujoe and Sampson.
She was preceded in death by her father, James L. (Doc) Tiller; paternal grandparents, Spence and Rosa Tiller; maternal grandparents, James and Elma Barnhart.
Sheila is survived by her mother, Fayrene Tiller of Abingdon, Va.; two sisters and best friends, Mrs. Steven (Deirdre) Frazier and De Vee Tiller, both of Abingdon, Va.; one very special nephew, Jacob Snead; one niece Dana Cornett; one great-niece, Mia Cornett; one great-nephew, Ryland Cornett, all of Abingdon, Va.; two uncles, Barney Tiller and Dewey Tiller, both of Honaker, Va.; and one pseudo-sister, Mrs. Brian (Kim) Thomas of Mt. City, Tenn.
Funeral services will be held, Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Brother Eddie Gobble officiating. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 4, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Russell Ketron Memorial Cemetery, 154 Huckleberry Road, Lebanon, Va. 24266. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seaver Brown Chapel, 237 East Main Street, Marion, Va. 24354.
Pallbearers will be Steve Frazier, Jacob Snead, Larry Tiller, Deward Tiller, Tony Bailey, Terry (Honk) Honaker, David Reed and Danny Otey. Honorary pallbearers are Roscoe Crouse, Benny Yates, Cliff Tiller, Dr. Ernest Henry, and Nathan Fields.
