Sherman G. Armstrong

MARION, Va. SHERMAN G. ARMSTRONG, age 80, died Thursday, July 14, 2016 at his home. Sherman was born November 9, 1935 to the late Homer and Amanda Pearl Smith Armstrong. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Armstrong. Sherman is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and David Moore of Chilhowie, Va. and Marie and Michael Winebarger, of Marion, Va.; five sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Becky Armstrong and Jack and Donna Armstrong, Jeff and Lois Armstrong, Mike and Sharon Armstrong, all of Marion, Va. and Bengie and Christy Armstrong of Chilhowie, Va.; sister and brother-in-law, Donna Mae and Dan Pruitt of Rich Valley, Va.; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, July 17, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Reverend Steve Hutton and the Reverend Mike Hopkins officiating. Graveside services will follow in Ridgedale Cemetery, Rich Valley, Va. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 until 3 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
