Sherman Brown

CHILHOWIE, VIRGINIA: SHERMAN BROWN, age 99, died Monday, August 16, 2010 at his home in Chilhowie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie Hayes Brown; two sons, Arthur Brown and J.P. Brown; and one grandson, James Brown. Sherman is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley Huffman and husband, Russell; and Debbie Hayes and husband, Doug, all of Konnarock, Virginia; three sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene Brown and wife, Mary, of Marion, Virginia; Robby Brown and wife, Vera, of Kingsport, Tennessee; and Buford Brown and wife, Kaye of Chilhowie, Virginia; one sister-in-law, Eva Hayes of Sugar Grove, Virginia; twenty six grandchildren, including three special granddaughters / caregivers, Amy Taylor, Lisa Cregger and Teresa Brown; thirty great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Laurel Cemetery in Konnarock, Virginia with Reverend Paul Cole officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
