Shirley Ann Fagan, age 73, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Broadmore Senior Living in Bristol, Tenn.
Shirley loved Jesus and prayed for anybody and everybody. She loved to play the piano and was always the life of the party. Ms. Shirley loved her family and especially the little ones who called her mamaw. For many years she drove a Tazewell County School bus, and the kids that rode her bus were loved and well behaved. Heaven became a sweeter place the second Shirley showed up.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Myrtha Messick; husband, John L. Fagan; and brothers, Glenn Russell Messick, William Faye Messick and Samuel Lee Messick.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Dianna Eads and husband, Jeff of Bristol, Tenn.; son, Terry Miller and wife, Melissa of Tazewell, Va.; sister, Pat Ray and husband, Jim of Cedar Bluff, Va.; five grandchildren, Johnathan Eads and fiancée, Amanda De Hart, Cory Fagan, Kristen Evans and husband, Jesse, Robert Carpenter and Stephanie Stacy; six great-grandchildren, John-Paul Eads, Kendall Evans, Sadie Evans, Rory Fagan, Larry Carpenter and Piper Stacy; several nieces and nephews; and many caregivers and special friends.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 311 Spencer Street, Bristol, Va. with the Reverend Herb Peak and the Reverend Tony Ellis officiating.
