MARION, VIRGINIA: SUSIE JEAN RICHARDSON, age 56, was called home by the Lord, Friday, September 1, 2006 in Smyth County Community Hospital. Born July 1, 1950 in Jellico, Tennessee to the late Delmar and Andrew Bolton, she was a special compassionate and caring person who had devoted her life to caring for others, she worked 30 years at the Southwestern State Hospital and 2 years at Francis Marion Manor Nursing Home where she was loved by all. She was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother and friend. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee "Dick" Richardson, her brother, Rev. Pryor Bolton who was a great inspiration, and her sister, Liddy Mae Melford. She is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Barry and Linda Richardson of Marion, Virginia, Jeremy Richardson and fiancée, Bethany Puckett of Saltville, Virginia, and David Richardson of Marion, Virginia; One sister, Brenda Hill of Lafollete, Tennessee; Four grandchildren, McKensey, Megan, Brett, and Taylor all of Marion, Virginia; and Four sisters-in-law, Agalee Bolton of Lafollete, Tennessee, Kathryn Ellis, Pat Richardson, and Georgia Richardson all of Marion, Virginia. Several nieces and nephews and special companions and friends, Dennis Hall and Connie Gross also survive. Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 4, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Mike Sage and Rev. Mark Totten officiating. Burial will follow in Attoway Cemetery, Marion, Virginia. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
