Susie Sheets

SUSIE FRANCES SHEETS, age 89, died Sunday, August 31, 2008 in Smyth County Community Hospital. Frances was born in Smyth County to the late George and Dolly Williams. She was a member of the Southfork Baptist Church and was formerly employed at Harwood Sewing Factory for 33 years. She loved painting and sewing. She has made her home with her daughter, Dorothy and son-in-law, James Tilson for several years. Besides her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Arza Sheets. Also a daughter Sue Carol, one sister, Alice Lane, four brothers, Archie, Leonard, Blaine, and Everett, and one grandson, Bobby Hanks. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Ruby and Gene Thomas and Dorothy and James Tilson. One son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Shelia Sheets. Also eight grandchildren, Ricky, Ronnie, Randall, Rosetta, Teresa, Michael, Terry and Ashton. Fourteen great-grandchildren, Chris, Nicky, Alisha, Ronnie, Jr., Ryan, Tyler, John, Jessica, Cody, Nikki, Rebecca, Ethan, Randy and Michael. Five great-great-grandchildren, Mahailey, Corey, Hunter, Chelsea and Aiden. Also a special caregiver and friend, Pat Storie. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Southfork Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Totten officiating. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Southfork Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Southfork Baptist Church. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
