MARION, VIRGINIA: THOMAS J. "T.J." TESTERMAN, age 65, died Saturday, August 12, 2006 in Bristol Regional Medical Center. Mr. Testerman served with the United States Army, and he traveled many miles, but his love and passion was Marion, Virginia. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ida J. Testerman; daughter, Kathy L. Ellis; his father and mother, Lacy F. and Pauline V. Testerman; and two brothers, David R. Testerman and Joseph E. Testerman. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Barry L. Ellis and wife, Sue of Marion, Virginia, Benny E. Ellis and wife, Michelle of Clemmons, North Carolina, and Thomas R. Testerman and wife, Sandy of Knoxville, Tennessee; two daughters and sons-in law, Sherry E. Mitchell and husband, Glen of Marion, Virginia, and Jessica T. Goad and husband, Larry of Marion, Virginia; three brothers, Marvin Testerman of Bridgeport, California, James M. Testerman of Marion, Virginia, and Michael L. Testerman; three sisters, Mary Ann Meyers of Coca Beach, Florida, Carolyn Harrison of Mechanicsville, Maryland, and Betty Hunter of Key Largo, Florida; eight grandchildren, Stephanie L. Ellis, Melissa A. Ellis, Chad D. Ellis and wife, Stephanie, Samuel M. Goad, Christopher D. Ellis, T. George Testerman, Danielle L. Ellis, and Caroline E. Testerman; four great-grandchildren, Cassiday P. Turley, Colby K. Blevins, Ethan R. Cook, and Casey M. Cook; and seven "grand puppy dogs". Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Dr. Mark Ross and Rev. William T. Wing, III officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery with military services conducted by Marion VFW Post 667. The Family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel in Marion, Virginia.
