Tina M. Blevins age 93, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Va. 

Tina was born in Saltville, Va. to the late, Manley Clinton & Annie P. McBride. She was a hard worker and was employed at SouthWest Virginia Mental Health Institute for 20 years and was a great cook at Atkins Elementary School for 20 years. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed gardening, canning, and cooking – and her peanut butter pies were the BEST! Tina loved her cat Garfield even more than she loved her candy; but the real loves of her life were her family. She was a great mother, and the absolute best grandmother ever to everyone. Tiny’s loving presence will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have known her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James “Cobb” Blevins; and son, Michael Blevins. Tina is survived by her son, Trever Blevins; grandchildren, Michelle Cress, Tony Blevins & wife, Kristal, Jennifer Jolliffe, Andy Billings & husband, Adam; great-grandchildren, Lakin Hess & husband, Stacy, Kaylee Blevins, Shalee Blevins, Caleb Blevins, Damon Blevins, Ethan Medley, Lucas Billings, Kayden Jolliffe & Elena Blevins; great-great-grandchildren, Alex Hess & Hudson Hess.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 27, 2025 from 10 until 11 a.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel, 237 East Main Street, Marion Va. 24354. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Justin Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery, 4410 Lee Highway, Marion, Va. 24354 with pallbearers Dale Mercer, Timmy Henderson, Stacy Hess, Chad Cress, Kenny Waddell & Adam Billings.
