Trula Franks

MARION, VIRGINIA: TRULA FRANKS, age 90, died Monday, April 18, 2011 at her home in Marion, Virginia. Trula was born in Tazewell County to the late Lucian and Gertrude Dickenson Smith. She worked for Glen L. Martin in Baltimore, Maryland during World War II. Trula was a great housewife and a loving companion. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, JC Franks; one son, Nelson Alan Franks of Richmond, Virginia; and one sister, Jean Stratton of Raven, Virginia and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Charles Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
