Vicki Russell Hash age 73, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Va.
Vicki loved her family – she was a loving wife, mom, sister, friend, and nana to her grandkids, she loved spending time with them. She enjoyed her family time, working puzzles, and reading. Vicki loved her church family and had taught Sunday School for 40 years. She will be missed by her family and friends, but what a joy knowing she is reunited with family in heaven with Jesus today.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Mary Mabel Russell; husband, Bobby Joe Hash; son, Jim Hash; brother, Wade Russell.
Vicki is survived by her daughters, Sherry Bane and husband, Tim of Marion, Va., Leslie Vanover and husband, Nathan of Camp, Va.; daughter-in-law, Sally Hash of Marion, Va.; brothers, Gary Russell and wife, Judy of Max Meadows, Va., Eugene Russell of Marion, Va.; four grandchildren, Eric Bane and wife, Ashley of Troutdale, Va., Allison Paschal and husband, Aaron, Jocie Hash and Emily Hash, all of Marion, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Gretchen Bane and Elsie Bane; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Connie Dalton of Marion, Va., and Twylene Sawyers of Abingdon, Va.; and all her Falling Water Baptist Church family.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 27, 2023 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. with Pastor Cody Boone and Pastor Jerry Creasy officiating. Burial will be private at Attoway Cemetery, Highway 16, Marion, Va.
