Wanda Louise “Sammie” Crewey age 69, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024 at her home.
Wanda “Sammie” Crewey was a woman who loved the Lord. She was also a woman who would not hesitate to use some “tough love” on you if she thought you needed it, just ask her kids and grandkids. Sammie loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren who kept her “forever young” - she had been 35 for several years! She enjoyed playing Spades, Xbox (Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare) and tending her flowers. Sammie was a giving person, even when she didn’t have it to give- she would. Her generosity, kindness and loving heart extended to animals as well as people. Sammie loved deeply and with a firmness that was loved and will be missed so much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Mary Kell; grandparents, Roosevelt and Myrtle Kell; brothers, Dennis, Kenneth and Gary Kell.
Sammie is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Michael “Mike” Crewey; daughters, Jessica Lynn Sheets (William Andrew Sheets) and Tina Hutton; sons, Josh Crewey (Dana Dean), Jake Crewey (Misty) and Joseph “JoeJoe” “Joey” Crewey; sisters, Janice Gentry, Joann McCloud, Norma Moses, Rose Marie Osborne and Barbara Privett Sword; brother, Donny Kell; grandchildren, Jack Sheets, Ashley Sheets, Christopher Hutton, Tim Dennison, Joshua Crewey Jr., Isaac Crewey, Lexi Crewey and Cody Smith; several nieces, nephews and their families; special pets – Amazon parrot, Mike and iguana, Mr. T.
To honor Sammie’s wishes, there will be no public service.
