Wanda Sexton

MARION, Va.

Wanda Sexton, age 66, died Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Va.

Wanda was a wonderful lady. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Wanda loved people, and talking to them. She enjoyed her friends that she made eating at Food City. She was crazy about her grandkids and they loved their mommaw.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Norman; and several brothers and sisters.

Wanda is survived by her daughter, Shelia Romary of Marion, Va.; son, Jason Sexton and wife, Nikki of Sugar Grove, Va.; step-daughter, Laura Parsons of Mouth of Wilson, Va.; sisters, Janet Stallard and husband, Joe of Saltville, Va., Carol Haulsee of Marion, Va., Barbara Frye of Saltville, Va. and Rosanna Harris of Chilhowie, Va.; brothers, Roger Norman and wife, Mary, Benny Norman and wife, Karen, Luther Norman and Jerry Norman, all of Marion, Va.; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Faye Blevins of Marion, Va.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 at 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Wassum Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
