Warren Hastings

MARION, VIRGINIA: WARREN ALLEN HASTINGS, age 77, died Friday, August 10, 2012 at Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion, Virginia. He was born September 26, 1934 in Johnson City, Tennessee to the late, William Allen and Margaret Lowe Hastings. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He also was a wonderful friend to the neighbor cats he enjoyed taking care of. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Philip B. Hastings. Allen is survived by one brother, Bill Hastings of Bristol, Virginia; one sister-in-law, Sue Britton Hastings of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; four nephews, Chris Hastings and wife, Jill of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, Jonathan Hastings of Delaware, Ohio, Jason Hastings and wife, Kaniel of Richmond, Kentucky and Darren Keith Hastings of Corrington, Tennessee; one niece Jamie Loveday and husband, Duane of Conway, South Carolina. Several great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Mr. Chris Hastings officiating. Private burial will be held at Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
