Wesley "Crow" Weaver

Marion, Va.

Wesley “Crow” Weaver, age 42, passed away surrounded by loved ones, Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, Tenn.

Wesley knew everyone and loved hard with a heart of gold. His family describes him as being kind, caring, funny, smart, a good story teller, and having an infectious smile. Nikki, his fiancé, took one look into his eyes and knew that she was going to marry him. Wesley struggled to overcome a lot of things in his short life, but came out on the other side; and his family was proud of him for that. He knew to behave when his aunt Diane came around and he didn’t have to be told twice - which he loved her for. Wesley was a loving father figure and was great with kids (even if he looked like Mr. Clean.) He was an impeccable tattoo artist and had the ink to prove it. If he wasn’t working on someone’s body art, he was hanging out with friends and family or eating a pan of taco meat big enough to feed seven people. In his final hours, Wesley asked for his mom to be by his side. He is missed by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clay and Ruth Weaver; paternal grandparents; and nephew, Niko Crosby.

Wesley is survived by his fiancée, Nikki Chapman; daughters, Emma Freeman and Ella Conrath, all of Marion, Va.; father, Mark Widener of Saltville, Va.; mother, Joann Haulsee; sisters, Alisa Crosby and Emily Widener all of Marion, Va.; brother, Chris Widener of California; aunt/second mom, Diane Sawyers; uncle, Charles Weaver, both of Marion, Va.; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; special nephew, Elijah Crosby; and special friend, Billy Davis.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 3 p.m. at West Cemetery, 1762 Stoney Battery Road, Marion, Va. with Pastor Sgt. Travis Biesettie officiating.
