BRISTOL, Va.
William “Bill” Troy Hyatt, age 47, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Wellmont Hospice House, Bristol, Tenn.
He loved life. Bill was quick witted and spunky. From the time he was 16 years old he worked at Central Machine Shop with his dad. He was a loving husband, father, and son. Bill had many interests; among his favorites were motor cycle riding with his friends, building Lego’s with his son William, and spending time reconnecting with friends and family.
Bill is survived by his wife, Tracie Muñiz Hyatt; son, William Michael Hyatt; parents, Jerry and Sharon Hyatt; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Luis and Ellen Muñiz; sister, Amy Whitaker; nephew/brother, Ryan Hyatt; many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
The family would like to express a special thank you to all the staff at Johnston Memorial Hospital, and Wellmont Hospice House for all the love and care shown to Bill and his family during his lengthy illness.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sullins Academy, 22218 Sullins Academy Drive, Bristol VA 24202. In the memo section, please note in honor of Bill Hyatt. Bill believed in the excellent academic education they provide as well as the life skills they teach.
Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 6 p.m. at Euclid Avenue Baptist Church, 900 Euclid Avenue, Bristol VA 24201 with the Dr. Allen Roberts officiating. At Bill’s request casual dress, no suit and no tie.
