SUGAR GROVE, VIRGINIA: WILLIAM STEPHEN "BILLY" MEEK, age 80, died Thursday, March 1, 2012 at his home in Sugar Grove, Virginia. He was a prominent Rye Valley farmer and a member of the Elizabeth United Methodist Church in Teas, Virginia. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eleanor Keeton Meek of Sugar Grove, Virginia; one son, Steve Meek of Sugar Grove, Virginia; one sister, Geraldine Meek Snydor of Roanoke, Virginia; two grandchildren, Jeremy Meek and William Stephen Meek II; and special caregivers, Margie Spencer, Judy Hayes, Violet Young, Jean Young and Barbara Pugh. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Elizabeth United Methodist Church with Reverend Charles Leonard and Reverend David Gilbert officiating.
