Troutdale, Va.
William Ray Sexton, age 91, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 at his home.
Ray was a loving husband, dad, papaw and friend. He was a good man and a hard worker. Ray had done a lot of things, but was best known for his carpentry. He loved his Lord, his family, and his country. He was a simple man, but a man of conviction and generosity. He would always help someone who needed it. If you needed help, you called Ray. He told stories of his Army days, and about the day Flat Ridge road was made. Ray was a walking, talking, history book. A great hunter and man has made it home to his Lord and the wife he has missed since October 2015.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Jo Sexton; and his parents, Roscoe and Clelia Sexton.
