MARION, VIRGINIA: WILLIAM "BILL" SUITT, age 68, died Sunday, October 17, 2010 at his home in Marion, Virginia after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born October 6, 1942 to Viola Campbell Suitt and the late John D. Suitt.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Davenport Suitt.
Bill was a veteran of the U S Army, Company A, 4th Medical Battalion, 4th Infantry Division stationed in Fort Lewis Washington from 1960-1963. He was a graduate of Wytheville Community College and retired from Royal Mouldings. He was an avid fisherman and loved golfing with his friends. He was a loving family man who adored his only granddaughter.
Bill is survived by his daughter Barbara Hall and husband Ralph of Atkins, Virginia; mother, Viola Campbell Suitt of Troutdale, Virginia; two brothers, John Lee Suitt and wife Bettie of Troutdale, Virginia and Jack Suitt and wife Susan of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and one granddaughter, Brandi Hall; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 8:00 p. m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Graveside service will be held Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Corinth Cemetery, Rugby, Virginia with Reverend Mike Sage officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
