William West

MARION, VIRGINIA: WILLIAM CARL "W.C." WEST, age 78, died Tuesday, June 15, 2004 in Smyth County Community Hospital. He was a member of Zion Hill United Methodist Church, Francis Marion V.F.W. Post #4667 having served in the United States Army, and had been employed for many years with Brunswick Corporation. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Rosenbaum West and two brothers, F. L. "Junior" West and Everett West. Mr. West is survived by one daughter, Melanie Marie West of Marion, Virginia. Eight sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley Moore of Sumter, South Carolina; Joanne and Bill Hamm of Port Deposit, Maryland; Erma and Wallace Hutton of Wytheville, Virginia; Glenna Keyes of Sugar Grove, Virginia; Rosa Hayes, Doris and Jim Sheets, Freda and Douglas Rotenberry, and Debbie and Kenny Alexander all of Marion, Virginia. Three brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph E. and Joyce West of Havre de Grace, Maryland, Bobby E. and Sylvia West of Sugar Grove, and Roger Allen and Marsha West of Marion, Virginia. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 19, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. John Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Thomas Cemetery, Marion, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel and also anytime at the home of Doris and Jim Sheets.
