Willie Miller

MARION, VIRGINIA: WILLIE MARIE MILLER, age 79 went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a faithful follower of Christ who took great joy in serving others. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Lynn Wesley Miller; parents, Dewey and Vernie Forrester; and brother, Ivan Forrester. She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law Larry and Lana of Powell, TN, Mike and Dana of Stuart, FL, David of Ocala, FL, Michael Paul and Mindi of Rural Retreat, VA; two daughters and sons-in-law Terri and Huey Hicks of Inman, SC and Lorrie and Kevin Hagy of New Bern, NC; one sister Geneva Miller of Bristol, VA; one sister-in-law Phyllis Forrester of Powhatan, VA; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren whom she adored. Special thanks to neighbors Ron and Shirley Collins and Randall and Pam Blevins and the family at Falling Water Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Friday, October 31, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Seaver Brown Chapel with Reverend Jerry Creasy and Tim Boyette officiating. Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Damascus, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday night from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
