Wilma Shupe

SUGAR GROVE, VIRGINIA: WILMA H. SHUPE, age 82, died Thursday, February 17, 2011 at her home in Sugar Grove. Wilma was an accomplished musician, having served as pianist for Sugar Grove Baptist Church for over 40 years. Wilma is survived by her husband of 56 years, Roy G. "Colonel" Shupe; sisters, Ruby H. Parks, Anne H. Parsons and husband, Carl, Jr.; brother, Gale Hutton and wife, Grace, all of Sugar Grove. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Virginia, 600 West Ridge Road, Wytheville, VA 24382 or to Hutton-Cox Cemetery, 5873 Sugar Grove Highway, Sugar Grove, VA 24375. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Sugar Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Billy Gwinn and Reverend Kenny Price officiating. Interment will follow in Hutton-Cox Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
